Process twins can be used in the manufacturing of products. These are temporary, digital control instances that take over process control and planning. For this purpose, the process twin interacts with the available production machines and defines the optimal production path. It then monitors the planned execution and reacts to anomalies.
In this thesis, a simulation environment for a process twin with multiple participants will be conceptualized and implemented. The goal of the environment is to model a product manufacturing process. The process twin acts as a central control unit and information hub for the other participants.
