Michael Maurer studied up to 2009 general mechanical engineering at Technische Universität Darmstadt. With the completion of his studies as Diplom-Ingenieur, he joined in February 2009 his position as Research Assistant at the Department of Computer Integrated Design (DiK) at Technische Universität Darmstadt. In his bachelor thesis, he focused to develop a training concept for education in 3D CAD systems and it's implementation for the CAD education at DiK. The master thesis dealt with the conception of an information system for the research and development management.
Mr. Maurer worked at the departments training center “Informationsverarbeitung im Maschinenbau (IiM)” and was responsible for the CAD training course Bachelor of Mechanical and Process Engineering as part of the lecture “ Einführung in das rechnergestützte Konstruieren“. As part of the PACE program, which is coordinated by Prof. Anderl and him at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, he was in charge of the Advanced Design Project ”Collaborative Engineering“ in collaboration with universities in China, Mexico and the United States since 2009.
Since 2011, Mr. Maurer dealt with the visualization of uncertainty in the SFB 805 ”Control of Uncertainties in Load-Carrying Structures in Mechanical Engineering".
Mr. Maurer left our department at the end of August 2014.
