Lars Niemczik studied at Technische Universität Darmstadt until February 2018 and achieved the Master of Science degree. In his master thesis he developed algorithms for the derivation of feature-based model history to automate the CAD model generation of sheetmetal profiles with higher order bifurcations.

Since March 2018 he has been employed as a research associate at the Department of Computer Integrated Design (DiK).

Mr. Niemczik worked from March 2018 to September 2019 at the Information Management in Mechanical Engineering Training Center (IiM) in the area of 3D-CAD training of mechanical engineering students. In the summer semester 2018 and 2019 he supervised the lecture Computer Aided Design. In addition to the focus on 3D-CAD techniques (Siemens NX 11 and 12), the course teaches the basics of product data management (Teamcenter 11 and 11.5) as well as the procedures for creating hand-drawn sketches and technical product documentation.

IUNO InSec – Integration and Migration Strategies for Industrial IT Security – is a BMBF-funded joint research project which aims to put the IUNO results for SMEs into practice. From 2015-18, IUNO has been developing an IT security reference architecture for industry 4.0. Within this framework, IUNO has identified methodological approaches for the threat and risk assessment of industrial environments as well as solution concepts, implemented them prototypically and illustrated their added value using demonstrators.
