Moritz Weber M.Sc.

Moritz Weber studied from 2008 to 2014 MPE (Mechanical and Process Engineering) at Technische Universität Darmstadt. In 2015 he joined the Department of Computer Integrated Design (DiK) at TU Darmstadt

From 2015 to 2017 Moritz Weber worked at the departments training center „Informationsverarbeitung im Maschinenbau“ (IiM) and supported the lecture "Information and communication technology in mechanical engineering” (IKT) and “Programming Languages and Techniques” (PST) since winter semester 2015/16.

Topics:Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), MATLAB, UML, Object Oriented Programming (OOP)

Collaborative Research Center 805

Since April 2017 Moritz Weber works in the Collaborative Research Center 805 “Control of Uncertainty in Load-Carrying Structures in Mechanical Engineering”. In the Subproject A5 Mr. Weberand Mr. Staudter develop an information model for the representation and visualisation of uncertainty. By this means uncertain data raised in the production and usage phase can be linked to parametric product models in order to make time dependent processes and non-linear relations in assemblies available for calculations.

Topics:Information Modeling, Ontologies, OWL 2, RDF(S), STEP

Industrie 4.0 Maturity Index

In 2017 Moritz Weber worked for the acatech project “Industrie 4.0 Maturity Index”. It aims at developing a multi-dimensional maturity model for producing companies to evaluate their Industrie 4.0 acquirements and discover potentials of enhancing Industrie 4.0 solutions. By providing a valid assessment methodology, this project enables companies to both judge the status quo and create individual roadmaps to future growth. The entire value chain from engineering, production, logistic to service and sales is considered as well as aspects like resources, culture and IT security.
