Concept of multi body simulation for start/stop systems in the automotive industryYübo Wang studied Computational Engineering at the Technische Universität Darmstad until November 2014. In his master's thesis he developed an optimization model for switch actuators of a dual clutch transmission. In 2013 Mr. Wang obtained a master's degree in Sinology from the Goethe Universität Frankfürt. In the time from 2012 until 2015 he also worked for DATRON AG as the Manager Business Development on the market development in China.

In March 2015 Mr. Wang joined the Department of Computer Integrated Design as a research assistant.

Teaching

Since summer semester 2015 Mr. Wang supervises the lecture Virtual Product Development B. In this lecture the basics and importance of product data management are taught as well as the methods, technologies and functions of product data management systems are introduced.

Research

IUNO – Nationales Referenzprojekt IT-Sicherheit in Industrie 4.0

The fourth industrial revolution (industry 4.0) is distinguished by a growing networking and intelligence of machines, products, services and data. This results in new business models and value networks, but also various risks, e.g. by hacker attacks, data theft or manipulation. The use of effective security methods is to protect the industry 4.0 and its associated values. Therefore the project IUNO was requested, approved and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Within this project 14 industrial enterprises and seven research institutions develop and research extensive new security methods and tools.

The aim of the IUNO project is identifying and developing new, appropriate security practices for industry 4.0. Within the overall project, the subject group DiK explores the specific frame conditions and requirements of the industry 4.0 and develops models and specifications for an integrated and comprehensive security by design, secure devices and identities as well as methods for the effective protection against manipulation, knowledge theft and piracy models. It is the goal of the DiK to support the industrial partners by scientific method, so that proved viable safety concepts in two demonstrators, “Technology Data Marketplace” and “Remote Maintenance”, can be implemented, which actually and sustainably accomplish the security requirements of the industry.

CypIFlex- Cyber-physical Systems for Intralogistics to increase flexibility of medium-sized series production

CypIFlex is a research project funded by Hessischen Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Energie, Verkehr und Landesentwicklung (HMWEVL). The fund is granted under the operational programme for the funding of regional competitiveness and employment in Hesse and comes from European Union funding for regional development (EFRE).

The project consortium comprises companies from IT, automation and production area and the department DiK of Technischen Universität Darmstadt. The aim of this project is to enable medium-sized manufacturing companies to develop specific solutions based on Industrie 4.0 and to subsequently implement these solutions successfully. The developed process model will also be implemented in a real production and intralogistics environment. Sanner GmbH provides a real production environment and the complete know-how as a medium-sized German company for this project. A special challenge for the project is the compatibility of production technologies with information and communication technologies. Five main milestones in CypIFlex are: requirements analysis and creation of a technical requirements document, identification, analysis and assessment of solutions, development of a generic process model, validation on use cases from Sanner GmbH and the last step is verification of the developed model.
